COMET to Host Community Meet-and-Greet Events with New Executive Director

The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) is inviting the public to a series of community meetings to meet their new Executive Director/CEO, Maurice Pearl. These events, held in partnership with the Richland Library, will take place throughout August and September at various library locations.

Meeting Schedule:

  • August 20, 5:30 – 6:30 pm – Richland Library Main
  • August 29, 5:00 – 6:00 pm – Richland Library Eastover
  • September 5, 5:30 – 6:30 pm – Richland Library Sandhills
  • September 12, 5:30 – 6:30 pm – Richland Library Lower Richland
  • September 19, 5:30 – 6:30 pm – Richland Library St. Andrews
  • September 26, 5:30 – 6:30 pm – Richland Library Southeast

Maurice Pearl, who brings over 20 years of public transit experience with a focus on safety and labor relations, is eager to connect with the Midlands community. During these events, Pearl will introduce himself, discuss his background and career, share his favorite aspects of the Midlands, and outline his vision for The COMET’s future. A Q&A session will follow his presentation.
