Born into a Legacy of Creativity

Creativity runs deep in Madden’s roots. Born into a vibrant family of creators, his artistic journey was shaped early on by his mother, an accomplished oil painter and art instructor, and his father, a skilled furniture builder and sculptor who worked in wood and stone.

While Madden spent his formative years heavily focused on studying and pursuing a music career, his visual arts background was never truly left behind. In 2019, following the profound loss of his mother, he found solace and a renewed calling in the studio, picking up the paintbrush once again to honor that shared family legacy.

Evoking Nostalgia and Local Pride

Madden’s artistic influences are diverse, but his core creative passion firmly leans toward capturing landscapes, seascapes, and local urban scenes.

Deeply community-centric, his work is intentionally crafted to evoke feelings of nostalgia and a strong sense of local pride. If you’ve spent time around South Carolina, you may already be familiar with his evocative style; Madden’s art has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and venues across the state, from the Koger Center in Columbia and the historic Newberry Opera House to coastal displays in Murrells Inlet.

Shaping the Visual Landscape of Irmo

Madden isn’t just bringing his work to Town Hall; he is actively embedding his vision into the very fabric of our community. He is currently hard at work designing his third public mural for the Irmo area, continuing to transform public spaces into vibrant cultural landmarks.
