CHAPIN, S.C. — The Lexington-Richland School District Five FFA chapter will host its annual Spring Plant Sale March 30 through April 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the greenhouse at the Center for Advanced Technical Studies, located at 916 Mount Vernon Church Road.
The community is invited to shop a wide selection of plants grown and prepared by students in the district’s agriculture program. Proceeds will support the local National FFA Organization chapter and help fund leadership development, competitions, and hands-on learning opportunities.
Plants available include flowers and foliage such as petunias, million bells, Tradescantia (wandering jew), begonias, geraniums, vinca (periwinkle), zinnias, sweet potato vine, marigolds, coleus, lantana, and verbena. Vegetable plants, including tomato and pepper varieties, will also be available.
The annual sale provides students with real-world experience in plant production, greenhouse management, and agricultural business practices while offering the community locally grown plants just in time for spring planting.
Payment is accepted by cash or check made payable to CATS.
