Eight high-school seniors from Lexington-Richland School District Five took part in the Live2Lead leadership conference on October 16, thanks to an invitation from Bency Beals, founder of Ignite Leadership Solutions.
Two students from each of the district’s high schools were selected for the event, which connects young leaders with globally recognized leadership experts through a nationwide simulcast produced by the Maxwell Leadership Company.
Live2Lead exposes participants to diverse leadership perspectives across multiple industries. Students heard insights on innovation, professional growth, and personal development, and participated in discussions to build their own leadership skills and confidence.
District Five Superintendent Dr. Akil E. Ross, Sr. served as one of the featured speakers during the conference, sharing his perspective on service-based leadership and preparing the next generation to lead with purpose.
