District Five to Host Dual Enrollment Information Sessions

IRMO – Lexington-Richland School District Five will host two information sessions this month for families interested in learning more about the district’s Dual Enrollment Program, which allows high school students to earn college credit while completing high school requirements.

A virtual webinar will be held Tuesday, October 29 at 6 p.m., and an in-person session will follow on Wednesday, October 30 at 6 p.m. at The Center for Advanced Technical Studies.
Families can register for either session and find more details at www.lexrich5.org/dualenrollment.

Through the program, academically ready students can take college-level courses through Midlands Technical College while still enrolled in high school. Courses are offered both in-person and virtually and are available to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors across the district.

Dual enrollment courses count for both high school and college credit, giving students an opportunity to save time and money while getting a head start on their higher education goals.
