District Five to offer Golden Passes to senior citizens

Lexington-Richland School District Five is encouraging senior citizens to be involved and active in district-sponsored events and activities for the upcoming school year.

The district is again offering Golden Passes to residents who will be 60-years-old or older during the 2021-2022 school year. The permanent photo identification card provides free admission into most athletic and cultural arts events in School District Five, excluding playoff games. Last year, Golden Passes were not issued due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Passes will be issued August 3 between 1 pm and 4 pm and August 4 between 9 am and noon at the district administration building, which is located at 1020 Dutch Fork Road in Irmo. Golden Passes are lifetime passes and do not need to be renewed.
