IRMO — Each March, the Office of Academics organizes a recycling initiative in recognition of Global Recycling Day, encouraging students and staff to contribute to sustainability efforts while supporting community partners.
This year’s project focused on collecting recyclable materials for EdVenture Children’s Museum, which requested supplies for its A-Ha Maker Space. The hands-on area allows children to explore creativity, engineering, and problem-solving through interactive building and design activities.
Organizers reported that a wide variety of items were donated, helping the museum replenish materials used in its educational exhibits and programs.
The annual project not only promotes environmental awareness but also provides a tangible way for students to contribute to local educational resources.
EdVenture Children’s Museum offers free admission for children ages two and younger.
