Dutch Fork Elementary School teacher receives gift from Bojangles

IRMO – Dutch Fork Elementary School Academy of Environmental Sciences teacher Ali Bowles received a surprise gift from Bojangles.

As part of its holiday campaign, Bojangles donated $1000 gift cards to teachers across the brand’s footprint, surprising the star educators in their classrooms, surrounded by students and staff.

Bowles is in her sixth year of teaching. She began her teaching career in Aiken but for the past three years she has been a part of the Dutch Fork Elementary School Fox family.

“I feel so blessed to have received this nomination and recognition,” Bowles said. “I was beyond surprised and humbled when my administration team and Bojangles representatives walked in with both the check and breakfast for my class!  When they presented me with the check for $1,000, my fox cubs screamed, ’We are rich!’  and proceeded to dance and celebrate the entire morning! I consider myself lucky each and every day to walk into a building where I am supported by my administration, encouraged by my colleagues, and loved by my students.  I am proud to be part of this beautiful school culture where we love and grow our students each and every day!”

Bowles plans to use the money to purchase Christmas gifts for her students and other supplies for her classroom.

“Ms. Bowles has risen to every challenge that she faces, with grace, perseverance and a smile,” Dutch Fork Elementary School Principal Rebecca Dilley said. “She stepped into a leadership role two years ago and has done a tremendous job not only loving and growing her students, but extending this to her team as well. I am so proud of how hard she works and how much she does to brighten the day and grow the brains of our Fox Cubs. She is an asset to our Fox Family!”

In addition to the Bo-nuses, Bojangles provided plenty of breakfast for the class and teacher to enjoy.
