Former Dutch Fork pitcher Morgan Scott continues to thrive on the West Coast.
On Monday, the University of Oregon senior was named the Pac-12 Softball pitcher of the week.
Scott was involved in all three wins in the Ducks’ sweep of Arizona State this past weekend. She struck out five in a 3-2 win to open the series, followed with a 4-out save in Game 2 and threw a scoreless seventh to close it out.
In the three games, Scott struck out seven in 9 1/3 innings of work. This was her second conference Pitcher of the Week Award after winning last April.
As of Monday, Scott had a 7-4 record with a 2.47 ERA and 35 strikeouts.
