Several names from “repeat 4-peat” Class 5A Division I football champion Dutch Fork were named to the S.C. Football Coaches All-State teams.
Dutch Fork senior defensive lineman and University of South Carolina signee Julian Walker was the lone selection to the Overall All-State team. He led the Silver Foxes in total tackles and sacks this past season.
Making the Class 5A All-State team were wide receiver Stone Furrey, linebacker Raleigh Salters and All-Purpose back Sheldon Shine. Irmo offensive lineman Bryson Moore and Vernen Hairens were also both named to the Class 5A team.
Walker (picked to play in the Navy All-American Bowl) and Salters (who will not play due to injury) were selected to the 89 th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas taking place noon Saturday at Spartanburg High School. They were replaced by defensive lineman Luciano Cesario and linebacker Jontavious Canty.
