Dutch Fork Road Bridge to Close for Repairs

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will close the Dutch Fork Road (U.S. 76) bridge over the CSX Railroad in Richland County beginning Monday, July 13, for bridge repairs.

The work is part of SCDOT’s Statewide Closed and Load Restricted Bridge Repair Program and is designed to extend the bridge’s service life.

Weather permitting, the bridge is expected to reopen by the end of July.

Electronic message boards have been placed in the area to alert motorists to the closure, and signed detour routes will be in place throughout the project.

SCDOT urges drivers to slow down, follow posted detour signs, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
