In three seasons, Dutch Fork offensive lineman “Bruiser” Brody Lorenzo has built an impressive resume.
As a starting center for the back-to-back Class 5A Division I champions, the All-State junior has played a major role in the Silver Foxes’ dynasty run. His head coach Tom Knotts has compared him favorably to past Silver Foxes standouts like Malik Sumter.
Last week, Lorenzo joined another former Dutch Fork lineman in receiving another honor. He officially accepted an invitation to play in the 2027 Navy All-American Game set for Jan. 9 in San Antonio, Texas.
The contest features the country’s top junior and senior players. South Carolina freshman defensive lineman Julian Walker played in the game last year.

“It means a lot because ever since I started playing football at Dutch Fork, I’ve always wanted to play in the Navy (All-American) game,” Lorenzo said. “It’s really special for my career at Dutch Fork because besides me, there’s only one guy to have played in the game and that’s Julian and look how he’s doing in college right now. That’s another thing that makes this game really special because I remember last year when he announced it, I was really motivated and inspired by it.”
The 6-foot 3, 300-pound Lorenzo has offers from North Carolina, Liberty, N.C. State, Cincinnati, East Carolina and Appalachian State. He visited Georgia Tech this past weekend.
Dutch Fork (8-0, 3-0) looks to close out its 7th undefeated regular season under Knotts Friday at White Knoll. With Strom Thurmond’s loss to Saluda last week, the idle Silver Foxes now own the Palmetto State’s longest winning streak at 17 games.
