Edward J. Sadaka
1948 – 2024
Edward J. Sadaka of Brooklyn, New York, was born on December 19, 1948, and he passed away May 14, 2024, at age 75 in Irmo. Eddie is the son of the late Edward Sadaka and the late Lillian Makhoul. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY, with his brother, the late Ronald Sadaka.
He attended Staten Island Community College where he earned an associate’s degree. Then he attended St. John’s University and earned a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s in Business Administration.
In 1978, he moved to South Carolina to help run a popular nightclub in Irmo. Following that, he worked at AT&T in the finance department until the plant shut down. Then, he decided to open up a sub station restaurant called Steve’s Deli in Irmo until 2000. His next venture was buying a route in FedEx, owning that until 2011. He worked at Secret of the Island processing internet sales until 2023. Lastly, during his retirement years, he worked at The Peanut Man prepping food.
Eddie was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by his family. He is survived by his two daughters; Laura Lawhon (Richard) and Kristen Turpen (Garth); grandchildren; Nicholas Hinely, Sadie Hinely, Ava Hinely, Ellis Turpen, Zayn Turpen, and Bryce Lawhon.
The family will hold a memorial service, for the family and those who want to pay their respects, June 1, 2024, at 1 pm at 269 Midway Rd, Lexington.
The South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
