Roy “Drew” Andrew Barr, Jr.
JUNE 24, 1994 – APRIL 24, 2022
He was the beloved son of Roy and Sonia Wheeler Barr.
Drew was a Public Safety Officer-K9 handler with Cayce Police Department where he worked for five years. He began working with Sandy Ridge Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 14; he previously worked for Lexington County as a certified EMT, and was an active volunteer with the Monetta Volunteer Fire Department where he served for many years. Drew loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Andrea Kelly (Matthew); nephew, Levi Kelly; niece, Izzy Kelly; aunts, Donna Boozer (Ronnie), Nancy Koonts (Evan) and uncles, Damone Wheeler (Lisa) and James Stokes (Allison).
Funeral services were held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Batesburg-Leesville High School Fine Arts Center with interment to follow at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church cemetery.
The family received friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Fine Arts Center.
