COLUMBIA, S.C. — Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) recently received a grant from Truist Foundation to support the continued growth of its Clean Tech Accelerator program, a workforce development initiative preparing individuals for careers in the clean technology industry.
The grant will allow GIUMSC to serve additional participants, provide industry-recognized training and certifications, strengthen employer partnerships and connect more individuals with family-sustaining careers in one of South Carolina’s growing industries.
Since its launch, the Clean Tech Accelerator has become one of GIUMSC’s premier workforce initiatives. The program provides accelerated, hands-on training designed to prepare participants for employment, with graduates earning industry credentials and certifications for high-demand careers.
The program’s success is built on partnerships among GIUMSC, employers and community investors working to develop South Carolina’s workforce. Truist Foundation’s support will help expand access to training while helping employers meet the growing demand for skilled workers.
