Nursery Road Elementary-Arts Magnet fifth grader Karson Wise and teacher Adrienne Jennings have been recognized as the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce’s September Student and Teacher of the Month.
“Karson exemplifies hard work, dedication and kindness. As a result of all of his hard work, he made tremendous academic gains last year earning him some of the highest scores on standardized tests,” Principal Love Ligons said. “His teachers say he exudes kindness and love to his classmates and school community every day.”
Principal Ligons also said, “Adrienne Jennings is a teacher who has a deep passion for children. She is always trying to do the right thing for students and families in our school. She always steps up to the plate to help her fellow coworkers. Last year, she welcomed extra students to her class after a teacher had to leave because of a medical issue. We are so thankful that she is a Nursery Road Champion.”
