Irmo Fire District units swiftly responded to a house fire on Fallsbury in the Friarsgate Subdivision this Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival, heavy smoke and flames were visible. The incident required coordinated efforts, and with assistance from the Columbia Fire Department and Lexington County Fire Service, the fire was brought under control in approximately 45 minutes.
Regrettably, there was one minor injury reported. The quick response and collaboration of multiple firefighting units played a crucial role in managing the situation. Investigations into the cause of the fire are likely underway to determine the factors that led to the incident.
