Irmo Little League has three All-Star baseball teams competing in Southeast Region tournaments.
The Senior, Junior and Intermediate teams all came away with state championships this past weekend.

The Intermediate team will open play Thursday in Kernersville, N.C. after winning its three games by a 75-0 margin. The Seniors will begin play the next day in Safety Harbor, Fla.

On Monday, the Irmo Juniors advanced out of the loser’s bracket to claim the state title. They defeated Blue Ridge twice by the scores of 6-4 and 18-3 in six innings and will open against West Virginia in the Southeast Region at 3 p.m. July 19 in Bridgewater, Va.
Meanwhile, Friarsgate Park in Irmo will serve as the home site for the Junior League Softball Southeast Region tournament. The opening ceremonies will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and the tournament will kick off the next day with six teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
South Carolina will face the winner of the Florida/Tennessee contest at 4 p.m. The winner will advance to the Junior Little League Softball World Series taking place July 27-Aug. 2 in Kirkland, Wash.
