The Irmo Little League sent two more teams to state tournament.
Both the Gold and Green teams reached the finals of the 8,9,10 S.C. District 3 All-Star Baseball Tournament held at Friarsgate Park.
The Gold team opened the tournament with a 14-2 win over Trenholm Red, while Green defeated Trenholm Blue 12-6. This set up the first of two meetings between the two teams that was one by Gold 16-0.
The victory advanced the Gold to the final, where it met the Green team again following its 11-0 win over Trenholm Blue. The Gold team won the rematch 2-0, but both teams earned a trip to the state tournament next month.
