Both Irmo Little League senior baseball and softball teams were presented proclamations by the
Irmo Town Council at the Aug. 21 meeting. Both teams not only won district, state and
Southeast regional titles but reached the finals of their respective Senior League World Series.
The baseball team came away with the United State championship before finishing World
Series runner-up as did the softball team. In all, Irmo Little League teams came away with six
state championships, eight district titles and a regional runner-up.
