Out of an abundance of caution, the Irmo Police Department has canceled the National Night Out event originally scheduled for tomorrow evening in Moore Park (formerly Irmo Community Park). This event will be rescheduled at a later date, and we will provide updated information as soon as it becomes available.
The National Weather Service is forecasting locally heavy rainfall tomorrow as Hurricane Debby moves through the Carolinas. While it may just be rain, we prefer to be safe than sorry. The Irmo community is well aware of what flooding can do!
