IRMO, S.C. — The Town of Irmo will host a community-wide celebration on Wednesday, September 3, at Friarsgate Park to honor four Irmo Little League teams that competed in this year’s 2025 Little League World Series.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. for volunteers and vendors. Irmo residents are invited to enjoy an evening of food, games, and family-friendly fun, all in recognition of the players, coaches, and families who represented the community on the national stage.
Mayor Bill Danielson said the event reflects the outpouring of support the town has seen over the past months:
“Our Irmo community has so much pride in our local youth baseball program; especially Irmo’s 2025 Southeast Little League Team. We’ve had an incredible response from local businesses and restaurants, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate together.”
A Night of Local Flavor and Fun
The celebration will feature local businesses and organizations offering food and activities across the park. Highlights include a foam party on Field 3, a bounce house provided by Palmetto Storm Cheer, a mini golf course set up by CNY Attractions, and a fire performance by entertainer Ben Brawley. Children can enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, cotton candy, karaoke, and more.
Food vendors will include Maurice’s Piggie Park, Whataburger, Texas Roadhouse, Bubba’s Pub, Carolina Wings, Cheesy Pint Pizzeria, Chickenbutt Donuts, Kona Ice, The Cheesecake Hut, and Marco’s Pizza, among others. Many are donating food and treats to players while selling to attendees, with some proceeds going back to benefit Irmo Little League.

Organizers say the celebration reflects not only the accomplishments of the players but also the strong connections within the town. Businesses, civic groups, and volunteers have all come forward to contribute to the event.

“We are so thankful our community and town have as much pride in these teams as I do. There are many local businesses that reached out to help throw these athletes, their families, and coaches an incredible celebration. We Believe in Irmo.”
