Irmo to Debut First-Ever Christmas Parade December 6

IRMO – The Town of Irmo is adding a brand-new tradition to its holiday calendar this year. The Irmo Events Committee has announced plans for the First Annual Irmo Christmas Parade, which will take place on Saturday, December 6, beginning at 9 a.m.

The parade will feature festive floats, marching bands, local organizations, and plenty of holiday cheer. Of course, children can also expect a special appearance from Santa Claus as the parade winds through town.

The route will begin at Crossroads Intermediate School and continue down St. Andrews Road, ending near McDonald’s. Residents are encouraged to arrive early to find a spot along the route and join their neighbors in celebrating the season.

Town leaders say they hope the parade will become a community tradition for years to come. “This is a wonderful way to bring people together and celebrate the magic of Christmas in Irmo,” said a committee spokesperson.

Community groups and organizations are invited to take part in the inaugural event. Registration is now open online at townofirmo.jotform.com/252303759632054.

Bundle up, bring the family, and be part of history as Irmo kicks off the holiday season with its first Christmas parade.
