Irmo’s season ends at Berkeley

The first post-Tim Whipple boys basketball season at Irmo last week ended last week.

The Yellow Jackets lost 46-41 at Berkeley in the second round of the Class 5A Division II Lower State playoffs.

Irmo had a 12-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Stags stormed back in the second quarter to go up as many as 12 points.

The Yellow Jackets rallied back behind Jeremy Anderson who finished with 13 points. They only got within two points before Berkeley pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Irmo finished 16-9 in the first season under head coach Alex Quillen.
