Lexington’s annual Bountiful Harvest Wednesday

The 8th Annual Bountiful Harvest is set for November 20 at the Icehouse Pavilion in downtown Lexington. Hosted by the Lexington Police Department and Serve & Connect, this event is a day of giving to support community members in need as Thanksgiving approaches.

Event Highlights:

  • 9 AM: A news conference kicks off the day, followed by volunteers packing 500 Greg’s Groceries holiday-themed food boxes. Special thanks to Berkshire Hathaway for supporting this effort.
  • 11 AM – 3 PM: A Community Resource Fair will offer food boxes, holiday groceries, and a chance to connect with local resources. Attendees can also enjoy a catered meal from Hudson’s Smokehouse, provided by Founders Federal Credit Union.
  • 3 PM – 8 PM: Families and individuals can pick up food boxes or sit down for dinner after school and work.

Additional contributions include 200 frozen chickens, provided through a partnership with Ole Timey Meat Market and the Lexington Police Department Foundation.

For those looking to help, Mission Lexington will accept donations of non-perishable food, blankets, gloves, socks, and underwear. Items in high demand include canned proteins, yams, and soups.

Participants and volunteers will also enjoy breakfast and coffee courtesy of Clutch Coffee and Sully’s Steamers.

Join the community in giving back and celebrating the spirit of Thanksgiving at the Icehouse Pavilion!
