Irmo Mayor Bill Danielson read stories to local children Wednesday, July 15, as part of the free Storytime in the Park summer event series at the Prisma Health Amphitheater in Moore Park.
The event featured a special appearance by Smart Cat from South Carolina ETV, along with free Kona Ice for the children.
The Storytime in the Park series will continue with two additional readings on Wednesdays, July 22 and July 29, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Sponsors for the summer series include Palmetto Citizens, the District Five Foundation, Lexington County Public Library, Kona Ice and the Town of Irmo.
