IRMO — Irmo Mayor Bill Danielson spent time with first-grade students at River Springs Elementary School on Thursday, Dec. 18, reading Christmas classics as part of the school’s end-of-year celebration.
The visit coincided with the students’ second annual pajama party, held on the final school day before the holiday break. Students arrived in pajamas, bringing teddy bears and blankets from home as they gathered to listen to the mayor read seasonal stories.
“I’m honored to be a part of this tradition,” Mayor Danielson said.
River Springs Elementary School is located at 115 Connie Wright Road in Irmo and is part of Lexington-Richland School District Five.
