On December 1, the Optimist Club of St. Andrews-Irmo had the privilege of hosting Drs. Matthew and Amanda Boyeson, founders of Midlands Family Chiropractic, shared insights into a groundbreaking technology making waves in the Irmo community.
The Boyesons, who established their practice in Irmo five years ago, presented the Optimist Club members with information about the “Summus Medical Laser,” also known as “Class IV laser therapy.” This advanced technology has become a game-changer in the lives of many patients, particularly those dealing with issues in knees, hips, and joints.
During their presentation, the Boyesons highlighted the painless nature of the laser treatment, emphasizing its ability to penetrate tissue deeply. The Summus Medical Laser stimulates and accelerates the body’s natural healing processes by enhancing circulation and delivering oxygen precisely to the targeted area. Its applicability extends to almost any musculoskeletal concern.
Of notable significance, the Boyesons frequently encounter and treat peripheral neuropathy, a condition that, if left untreated, can lead to life-altering consequences such as falls, amputation, and even mortality. The Summus Medical Laser offers a beacon of hope for those suffering from peripheral neuropathy, potentially providing relief and preventing severe complications.
The Boyesons expressed their enthusiasm for the positive impact this technology brings to the lives of their patients, allowing them to avoid pain, discomfort, and invasive surgeries. The Optimist Club members gained valuable insights into the potentially life-changing benefits that the Summus Medical Laser could offer to the community, especially the elderly population at risk of peripheral neuropathy-related complications.
As Midlands Family Chiropractic continues to be at the forefront of innovative healthcare in Irmo, the Optimist Club looks forward to further collaborations that contribute to the well-being and vitality of the local community.
