Newest Gamecock to hold Softball Camps at alma mater Irmo

By Thomas Grant Jr.

Softball has made Precious Bross an All-State player, an All-Star Game MVP and member of a national championship team at the Jennie Finch Classic.

After a year out of state, the Irmo High graduate is back in familiar surroundings with the University of South Carolina.

She’s also now looking to help aspiring players improve their on-field skills. The first-ever Precious Bross softball camps will take place Nov. 15 at Irmo High School softball field.

More than anything, I just want to give back to the community that has supported me like no other, and be a role model for younger girls who are falling in love with softball the same way I did,” Bross said.

A Rising Stars Skills Camp for ages 8-12 will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

This session is perfect for younger ball players or those who are just starting their softball journey,” Bross said.

“We’ll focus on building a strong foundation. From throwing and catching to hitting, fielding, and running the bases, campers will receive instruction across every aspect of the game.”

From 1-4 p.m., ages 12 and up can participate in the Level Up Softball Camp.

“This camp will challenge athletes to push their limits, focus on advanced techniques, and develop the confidence and mentality needed to excel on the field,” Bross said.

“We’ll focus on refining hitting, fielding, and base running, while also diving into skills and strategies that help shape a well -rounded, competitive player.

I’ll share everything I’ve learned along the way! I love helping girls take ownership of their growth and leave the field feeling stronger, smarter, and ready for whatever comes next.”
