Optimists lean about Babcock Foundation

“Exceptional individuals with different abilities.” This is the motto of the Babcock Foundation, three members of which spoke recently to St. Andrews Optimists.

Babcock Foundation works to enable people with disabilities to enjoy normal lifestyles. In the words of the Babcock presenters, a life with disabilities should not be a life without opportunity.

So Babcock’s approach trains disabled people for jobs, then places those candidates in jobs, and finally mentors them through their working experiences via check-ins with both those candidates and with the employers.
