Recently retired boys soccer coaching legend Phil Savitz headlines the Class of 2024 Irmo High School Hall of Fame class.
The 10-member class will be recognized at halftime of the football game between Irmo and Myrtle Beach at W.C. Hawkins Stadium. On Saturday, the official ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at the school.
The winningest boys soccer coach in South Carolina history and a member of two Halls of Fame, Savitz won 637 games and 13 of his state-record 15 titles during his 33 seasons with the Yellow Jackets. The weight room facility at W.C. Hawkins Stadium is named after Savitz.
Savitz spent the past 12 seasons at River Bluff where he led them to its first state title in 2026.
