On July 31 members of the Irmo Fire District, Irmo Fire Foundation, and their families welcomed Pierce Engine 171 into service with a traditional push-in ceremony at the Childs Street Station. The ceremony was held solely for Irmo Fire personnel as E171 was fallen Firefighter J. Michael Muller’s Engine, but Mayor Barry Walker and Town Administrator Courtney Dennis attended the ceremony.
