Leaphart Elementary School multilingual teacher Danielle Liferidge was honored with a Quilt of Valor on November 11 during a ceremony at the school. The Quilt of Valor is a handmade quilt presented to a service member or veteran in recognition of their service and sacrifice.
The quilts are part of a national project of the non-profit Quilts of Valor Foundation, founded in 2003 to provide comfort and healing to those who have served.
