COLUMBIA, SC – In celebration of National Public Works Week, Richland County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) hosted a special staff barbecue luncheon on May 21, recognizing the hard work and dedication of its team.
After enjoying a meal together, attendees gathered to cheer on DPW staff during a backhoe rodeo competition, where operators showcased their skills in a friendly contest.
The event drew participation from County Council members and staff from various departments, all coming together to celebrate the year-round efforts of the Public Works team in maintaining and improving essential county services.
