Get ready for some upcoming railroad maintenance in our area! CSX is scheduled to commence the replacement of railroad ties at various crossings beginning April 15th. This effort aims to address any missed repairs from previous maintenance work. The project will kick off in Irmo and progress towards Newberry.
Before you hit the road, ensure you’re aware of any closures by referring to the RR Crossing Closure Map button provided below. Simply click on the black and white railroad crossing icon on the map to access closure dates for specific crossings.
Anticipate each closure to last approximately 1-2 days.
Crossings in the Irmo area that will be impacted include:
- Seawright Rd
- Piney Grove Rd
- Palmetto Wood Parkway
- Thames Valley Rd
- Gates Rd
