SAFE Federal Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its 19th branch in Irmo, SC, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on February 26. The event was attended by SAFE’s executive leadership team, Town of Irmo Mayor Bill Danielson, and South Carolina Deputy District Director (Second District) Laura Batey.
Expressing his welcome, Mayor Bill Danielson stated, “On behalf of the Town of Irmo, we extend our warmest welcome to SAFE Federal Credit Union. This establishment will enrich the lives of our residents by giving them quality banking solutions.”
President and CEO Michael Baker expressed SAFE’s enthusiasm for the new branch, saying, “SAFE is thrilled to announce the opening of our newest branch and thanks the Town of Irmo and the Ballentine community for welcoming our SAFE Family to the area. This addition allows more members in the Columbia region access to SAFE’s innovative financial products and excellent in-branch service.”
The Irmo branch, located at 10600 Broad River Road, joins six other SAFE branches serving residents in Lexington and Richland Counties. To continue the celebration, SAFE Federal Credit Union plans to host Grand Opening events, featuring live on-site radio station broadcasts and a weekly $1,000 giveaway through March 31.
