The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed the I-126 West off-ramp to Colonial Life Boulevard as of December 1 at 6 a.m. The ramp is scheduled to reopen at 10 p.m. on December 20, pending weather conditions.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow construction crews to continue work associated with the Carolina Crossroads Project.
During the closure, motorists will be detoured to Greystone Boulevard and directed to Broad River Road, then Bush River Road, to access Colonial Life Boulevard. Message boards, lane closures, and detour signage will be in place along the route to guide drivers. Maps of the planned detour are available below.
SCDOT urges drivers to slow down, remain alert, and follow posted signs when traveling through work zones. For more information and ongoing updates, visit the Carolina Crossroads project webpage or contact the project hotline at 800-601-8715.
