Annual BBQ fundraiser sets record for donations to Irmo nonprofit
Coldwell Banker Realtor Zeke Riddle and Rebecca Hanlon, Broker-In-Charge Coldwell Banker Irmo, present a check to Sharing God’s Love Director Sheri Selke in the amount of $8,000 from funds raised at their annual BBQ plate luncheon.
“This is such a rarity and a blessing for a donation this large,” said Selke. “We serve more than 12,000 people right here in Irmo and this is wonderful.”
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Coldwell Banker in Irmo hosted the 11th annual Sharing Gold’s Love BBQ fundraiser where donations to the non-profit gave participants a complete meal of pulled pork bbq and all the fixings.
“This is our eleventh year and the most we’ve ever raised for Sharing God’s Love,” Riddle said. “It wouldn’t have happened without everyone’s effort throughout the community.”
Coldwell Banker is located at 7464 St. Andrews Rd. in Irmo and Sharing God’s Love is located at 147 Friarsgate Blvd.
“This means the world to us,” said Selke. “Each year it’s been a real gift.”
