Irmo Police responded to a report of a shooting Tuesday night that left one person dead. The officers were called to the 100 block of Maidstone Circle in the New Friarsgate subdivision at 11:55 pm where they found a 21-year-old male unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The man has yet to be identified. According to police, neighbors heard the gunshots.
The man was shot outside his home on Maidstone Circle and managed to open his front door and fall into the house where he died. Some of the man’s family members were inside the home when the incident occurred.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is helping the Irmo Police Department with further investigation.
