The District 5 Foundation hosted its first Springfest April 5 at Dutch Fork High School. Eighteen teams consisting of teachers, administration, students, and SRO law enforcement from around Lexington Richland District Five schools competed in a kickball tournament on the school’s football field.
Hundreds from around the district came out to support their favorite teams and enjoy the food trucks, KONA Ice, bouncy houses and music. Mascots from some of the schools were present also.
Event proceeds will go to the District 5 Foundation Snack Pack Program.
The first champions of the kickball tournament was Richland County Sheriff’s Department with team Flight coming in second.
