The St. Andrews Rotary Club recently welcomed Gavin Brown, Vice President of Advancement at Midlands Housing Alliance, as their guest speaker. Brown oversees fundraising and community development for Transitions Homeless Center, a key resource for the homeless population in the Midlands.
With over a decade of experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, Brown brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. He holds a degree in Public Relations and History from the University of South Carolina and has served on several boards, including the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce, Blythewood Rotary, and the Lexington Non-Profit Council.
During his talk, Brown highlighted the critical work being done at Transitions Homeless Center and emphasized the importance of community involvement. He shared ways in which individuals and organizations can support the center’s mission, alongside personal stories that underscore his dedication to service and community development.
