The South Carolina State Museum Foundation will host its annual fundraising gala, One Enchanted Evening, on Thursday, October 17, from 6–10 p.m. at the State Museum in Columbia.
The black-tie, fairy tale-inspired event promises a night of elegance, fine dining, and community celebration—all in support of the museum’s mission and future growth. Guests will enjoy cuisine by Southern Way Catering, specialty cocktails from Pour Advice, and live music from Preach Jacobs before dancing beneath the stars.
In addition to entertainment, attendees will have exclusive, after-hours access to the museum’s galleries, including the special exhibition Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume. Organized by the Walt Disney Archives, the show features 70 iconic costumes from beloved characters like Cinderella, Maleficent, and more.
The evening will also include a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind items and experiences donated by South Carolina businesses, plus a few surprises throughout the night.
“This will be an unforgettable evening, celebrating the vital role the museum plays in our community,” said Geoffrey Hardee, chairman of the State Museum Foundation Board. “This event will help ensure the State Museum remains a dynamic and inspiring destination for generations to come.”
Proceeds from the gala will support the Foundation’s efforts to enhance museum exhibitions and educational programming, while advancing its Reimagine the Experience capital campaign to transform the museum’s galleries.
