Dutch Fork guard Bryson Taylor ended his high school basketball career on a winning note.
He was on the victorious side of the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association’s North-South All-Star Classic. The North team defeated the South 94-83 at Brookland-Cayce High School.
Taylor scored two points and Brock Cherry of Wren finished with 15 points to earn North MVP honors. Roman Cooley of Greenville and Tyrek Wright of McBee each had 11 points and R.J. Hill of South Pointe finished with 10 points.
Shannan Davis of Crestwood led the South with 15 points to win team MVP. Darius Franklin of Lakewood had 11 points and Shane Potts finished with 10. Yasir Cromer of River Bluff finished with eight points, Malachi Cooper of Class 5A Division I champion Ridge View had six points and A.J. Edwards finished with three for the South.
The South won the girls’ contest 88-71 over the North. Shaelyn Hayes of White Knoll scored 13 points to win South MVP honors.
