Dear Hardy King,
This is not a letter from the Birmingham jail, nor do we have an Edmund Pettus Bridge in Irmo. It appears that you have learned absolutely nothing from your mistakes as Mayor. I am referring to social media.
In 1963, were the 16th Street Baptist Church bombers Muslims? No. In 1995, were the Oklahoma City bombers Muslims? No. In 1999, were the Columbine High School mass murderers Muslim? No.
I used those three attacks, to point out your perceived hatred and character pertaining to your Anti-Muslim Facebook memes in 2018 as the Mayor of Irmo. Many residents felt that your actions were unbecoming of their elected leader.
In 2012, as the Mayor, you shared a post. The post was an image that read “Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, free cellphone, food stamps, section eight housing, a six pack of beer, a crack pipe, and some Air Jordan’s and he’ll vote Democrat the rest of his life”. I can assume what group of people that post was targeting.
Just recently in 2023, you targeted an elected candidate of the town, the voters chose. You were not satisfied about the candidates residence, because you drove by and did not see a car in the yard. For example, if someone drove by a residence on Doncaster Drive, and no car was in the driveway, can that person assume no one lives there? Yes. However, that person could be totally wrong.
It appears you and your supporters have so much hatred in your hearts, that you would rather see the town divided than diversified. As you can clearly see and understand, that the town of Irmo requires a Mayor and not a King. Mayor Danielson, please do not allow a King to rule over your town.
