On Saturday, May 3, CrossFit Soda City and the Irmo Fire Department will host a special memorial workout to honor the life and sacrifice of Fireman James Michael Muller, who died in the line of duty two years ago.
The event will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at 1340 Old Dairy Drive, Columbia, and will feature the official CrossFit HERO WOD dedicated to Fireman Muller. Free t-shirts will be given away while supplies last.
Muller served with the Irmo Fire Department for seven years and was highly respected across the state for his dedication, passion, and service. He lost his life during a structural collapse while battling a fire. He is remembered lovingly by his wife, Emma Bouyea Muller; son, Cole; parents; sister, Ambree Muller; and sisters-in-law Megan Widener and Mary Bouyea.

This event is open to the public as a way to remember and celebrate a true hometown hero.
