Paul F. Younginer retired April 30 after 35 years of South Carolina state government service. During his career Younginer served a total of thirteen years on the Town of Irmo Council and still serves on the Irmo Arbor Day Committee.
A retirement reception was held in his honor May 26. At the reception, State Representative Chip Huggins presented Younginer with a resolution from the South Carolina General Assembly honoring his service.
Younginer and his family reside in Irmo where he has lived all his life.
