Ballentine to seek re-election

Representative Nathan Ballentine – District 71 Richland – filed for re-election on March 16. Ballentine was elected to the House of Representatives in 2005 defeating the 16-year incumbent, Rick Quinn, who was currently serving as the House Majority Leader.

Ballentine currently serves on the Ways and Means Committee and served as Vice Chairman of the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee. He also named the Finance Campaign Disclosure Bill which requires all elected officials to file their campaign disclosure report online. Ballentine is currently working on a bill to supply housing for special needs clients.

“I would be honored to have voter’s support again so we can continue to stand up for the whole community. Representing the Irmo/Chapin/Dutch Fork area is an honor that I don’t take lightly”, said Ballentine.
