Open Letter
Barb Waldman is totally qualified as a candidate for Irmo Town Council.
She has represented the Town of Irmo and all constituents in an admirable way during her first term. Barb can be counted on to not only stand as a force of reason and good character in difficult times but also to do the mundane business her responsibilities require. She has also been successful in bringing new ideas of value including communicating activities and events effectively within the community.
She brings no political agenda with her and works very hard to represent all people fairly. Barb is a longtime resident who has invested tremendous amounts of quality time with School District Five over many years as a volunteer. She has served continuously on school and district-wide organizations gaining diverse experience and giving back her valuable skills.
As a research scientist, Dr. Waldman is experienced in carefully examining all of the data and information before forming conclusions. Her clarity and attention to details make her extremely important. She is very organized and thorough, dependable, hard-working, and is excellent in representing a diverse range of interests effectively. She brings calmness and stability to just about any situation.
Barb values and shows respect for all people with varied opinions and is superb at listening. Her open-minded approach and fairness have earned respect for her by those who have had the privilege of working with her. Barb values open communications, improving the quality of life through smart planning for growth and development, and planning for a safe community.
I have worked alongside Barb in our school system for many years and absolutely believe the Town of Irmo would continue to benefit greatly from her leadership. Please vote for BARB on November 4th.
