Congratulations to Bart’s Crazy Good Coffee, named the Small Business of the Month for August 2024! Owner Bart Baldwin never imagined he’d be running a coffee shop, much less multiple locations, but his journey from a small roasting company to a local favorite is a testament to his passion for exceptional coffee.
It all started when Bart introduced his signature blend at local markets, where it quickly gained a devoted following. “We began by getting invited to various markets,” Bart recalls, “which led to Soda City Market in Columbia, and then to launching a coffee trailer that served neighborhoods during COVID. This eventually paved the way for our Chapin store, followed by locations in Irmo and, most recently, Ballentine!” And Bart isn’t slowing down. “Our coffee is truly crazy good,” he proudly states.
Customers like Annah H. wholeheartedly agree. “It’s family-owned and operated,” Annah notes, “with three generations working together! They even remember my name and my order when I walk in. Plus, their coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted!”
But Bart’s Crazy Good Coffee offers more than just great brews—they also give back to the community. When you check out, you’ll be asked if you’d like to round up your purchase to support Sharon’s Fund, a local initiative that helps individuals battling breast cancer.
Curious to try their “crazy good” coffee for yourself? Visit Bart’s Coffee online or stop by their Irmo location (8032 Woodrow St., Irmo, SC 29063) on Saturday, August 17th, from 8-10 a.m. for their Coffee and Cool Cars event. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow coffee lovers and learn more about Irmo Outreach, a local nonprofit that assists residents with minor home repairs, lawn care, and similar needs. Irmo Outreach will also be there for a Meet and Greet!
Bart’s Crazy Good Coffee will be formally recognized at the Irmo Town Council meeting on August 20th at the Municipal Building, located at 7300 Woodrow Street, Irmo.
