Two School District Five students were graduated from a collaborative job-training program at Midlands Technical College called Building Occupational Opportunities in the Midlands (BOOM). They were honored during a graduation ceremony May 26.
The graduates from School District Five were Miguel Hill (Dutch Fork High) and Charles Schuler (Chapin High).
BOOM features high school students with disabilities from School District Five, Lexington One, Richland One and Richland Two in a semester-long course where they learn construction and special events planning at MTC airport campus.
